Muscular Dystrophy is a muscle-wasting condition which 70,000 people live with in the UK. Our good friend Jim, who passed away 18 months ago, was a keen supporter of Muscular Dystrophy UK, having a close family member with the condition. At his funeral, funds were raised to support this charity, and in Jim’s memory we also want to support Muscular Dystrophy.
Tom & Mia’s Legacy
Tom and Mia were murdered whilst backpacking and working in Australia. This fund has been set up by Tom and Mia’s parents (Mia’s mum was a close work colleague of Ian’s for several years) to raise funds to try to ensure that backpackers are kept safe and not exploited whilst working in Australia. In Tom and Mia’s memory we want to support the work being done by ‘Tom and Mia’s Legacy’.
9 months ago Ian’s Uncle Dave passed away. He, and his wife Bridget, have long supported Air Ambulance, having been made aware, several years ago, through an accident that befell their brother in law, how the rapid response of this service can be the difference between life and death.
